The light-shielding method oil particle contamination detector uses the light-shielding method (Light Extinction) (also known as light-blocking method or extinction method) principle specified in ISO4402/ISO11171 to detect oil contamination. It has the advantages of fast detection speed, strong anti-interference, high precision, and good repeatability.

The principle of the light-shielding method is shown in the left figure. A parallel light beam passes vertically through the sample flow chamber with a cross-sectional area of  A and irradiates the photoelectric receiver.
